Vangeya and Asher are no strangers to unconscious bias in the workplace. They were both born to immigrant parents and are both successful professionals. Over the years they have learned firsthand what it means to be a minority in the workplace and they are passionate about educating others in order to develop an authentically inclusive environment for all.

Vangeya M’Hone

Vangeya is a transatcional solicitor with almost 8 years post-qualification experience. She is a natural networker with excellent communication and team building skills. She is the recipient of two prestigious legal awards (Young solicitor of the year 2016, Young professional of the year 2017). She was born in her native Zambia and moved to the UK as a child. She studied Sociology and Social Science at Warwick University followed by a law conversion over a decade ago. Having built a successful career in the legal sphere, Vangeya has decided that now is the time to live out her passion. She is a seasoned public speaker, a published writer, and a passionate advocate for diversity and inlcusion in the workplace.

Dr Asher Larmie (they/them)

MBBS, MRCGP (Formerly Natasha)

Asher is a part-time GP and a leading expert in weight inclusive medicine. They came out as queer in 1994, and more recently as non-binary in 2021. They are a passionate campaigner for change within their own profession, and they have worked alongside a number of organisations including the Depart of Health and the Home Office to end weight stigma in healthcare. They are the executive director of Health Professionals Against Weight Stigma and are known as The Fat Doctor on social media. They are regularly interviewed about the impact of discrimination in healthcare, and have featured on This Morning and CNN. They have also provided expert commentary for publications such as The Independent, HuffPost, Cosmopolitan, Grazia and the Evening Standard. They are a seasoned public speaker and have presented at a number of professional conferences.
